With the world back to semi-normal, organizers around the world are hosting many in-person meetings and conferences for cannabis entrepreneurs, investors, and specialists.
Here’s a list of international events you should try not to miss.
LATAM CANN.BIZ
When: September 1 and 2, 2022
Where: Panama City, Panama
LATAM CANN.BIZ will be held in Panama City at the Santa María Luxury Collection Hotel & Golf Resort. Executives, medical professionals, and political actors will meet to discover opportunities for investments, economic development, and scientific advances in the cannabis industry. The event aims to bring opportunities in the medical and industrial cannabis industry closer to the country.
The conference, considered the most important in Latin America in 2022, will bring together more than 40 executives, investors, political actors, patients, and medical professionals.
In October 2021, Panama adopted legal framework No. 242 that regulates the medicinal and therapeutic use of cannabis, its import, export, and cultivation, and creates a registry of patients, specialists, and companies.
It is estimated that the industry could generate an economic impact of close to 30 million dollars for Panama.
“Panama has enormous competitive advantages and could quickly become an import and export hub for the entire world. The combination of elements such as its ports and logistics platform, its robust banking sector, and the confidence that its legal framework offers markets creates a perfect environment for Panama to strengthen its local market and the Latin American region,” said Noemí Pérez, president of PRMedCann.Biz, a consulting firm focused on the cannabis industry.

Building off the momentum of the spring event held in Miami, Benzinga’s Chicago show is expected to exceed attendance projections, bringing together 2,000 industry operators, investors, policymakers, and advocates.
The event comes when cannabis companies are announcing strong growth despite nationwide inflation. While many experts are concerned about a recession, cannabis companies reported close to $6.6 billion in legal cannabis sales, the largest quarter reported to date. To outline the state of the industry and current market opportunities, Benzinga will bring a celebrated lineup of over 150 speakers to the stage.
“Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference is returning to Chicago at a critical time for the industry when people are questioning how the economic headwinds will impact the strong growth the industry has been experiencing,” said Benzinga CEO Jason Raznick. “We’re truly excited about the remarkable range of advocates and investors we’re bringing together in this space to facilitate impactful new ventures and discuss the state of the industry.”
The event prioritizes diversity by providing scholarships showcasing women and BIPOC-owned brands at the conference on stage and in the exhibit hall. Benzinga is proud to work with the following organizations:
